A neighbor was taking down trees on their property and was kind enough to let me pick one out. I picked this red oak that was straight and relatively branch free the first 20 or so feet. I was able to request specific sections and length and they even bobcatted it over to our property.  A few months later I hired a sawyer to come and mill it into dimensional boards. It began curing Spring of 2019.
